Student Success Isla K - May 2025

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Year 9 student Isla K, who, alongside her team Eclipse Allstars Discovery, was crowned a Summit Champion at the prestigious World Summit competition held in the USA last week.

Regarded as one of the most competitive events in international cheerleading, The Summit brings together top-level teams from across the globe to compete at the highest standard. Isla played a key role in leading her team to an extraordinary 1st place finish in the Level 2 U18 category.

The team qualified for the finals with the highest score in their division (98.6) and returned the following day to deliver an even stronger performance, earning a remarkable 99.2—the fourth highest score across the entire competition. This incredible result reflects not only the team’s technical excellence but also their poise and determination under pressure.

This success is a testament to the exceptional discipline, athleticism, and teamwork required to compete at an elite level. Cheerleading is a physically demanding sport that requires strength, flexibility, coordination, and above all, trust and precision. Isla is a flyer on her team—a role that demands both fearlessness and complete confidence from teammates. The trust she inspires is a key part of her team's success.

Isla’s dedication to her sport is unwavering. With a rigorous training schedule that often includes weekends and school holidays, she continues to show exceptional commitment, leadership, and passion.

In addition to their summit champion title, Eclipse Allstars Discovery have dominated regional competitions:

• 1st Place at ICC Southern (February)
• 2nd Place at JamFest (February)
• 1st Place and Grand Champions at Legacy Cheer, Birmingham (March) - meaning they were the highest-scoring team across all divisions

With three competitions still to go this season, we wish Isla and Eclipse Allstars Discovery continued success. We can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
