Primary Dance Festival - May 2025

On Thursday 1 May, Calthorpe Park proudly hosted a vibrant Year 3/4 Dance Festival in association with Hampshire School Games. We welcomed 70 enthusiastic pupils from five junior and primary schools across the Hart and Rushmoor districts for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating creativity and movement.

The festival kicked off with an energising warm-up routine choreographed by our talented Year 10 dance students. This was followed by a full-group choreographed routine, uniting all participants in a shared experience of rhythm and teamwork. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the performances by the primary pupils, who showcased their own dances on stage with confidence and joy.

The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was electric, and the event was a resounding success.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible student leaders—Izzy O, Poppy M, and Lucy ES in Year 10; Seren H in Year 9; and our fantastic Year 7 helpers: Amelie O, Leah S, Darcey N, Ella R, Evie and Grace C, Bethan L, Rose W, Annabel R, and Narcisa C. Their enthusiasm, leadership and support were invaluable, and helped create a welcoming and inspiring environment for our young visitors.
