News from ELSA - October 2025

Luna

Luna has had a great half term connecting with our new Year 7 students! She’s made lots of new friends and enjoyed catching up with familiar faces and hearing about their lovely summer holidays.

We’ve had a positive start to the new term, and it's very much business as usual for the ELSA team. Our drop-in sessions remain open to all students during both break times, offering a welcoming space for anyone who needs a chat or a moment of calm

Please note that our popular Chill and Chat lunchtime club has now moved to LZ5. This quieter space gives students the opportunity to enjoy their lunch in a relaxed environment, with a member of the pastoral team and student Mental Health Ambassadors on hand for support and to join in playing games.

World Mental Health Day Friday 10th October

We proudly celebrated World Mental Health Day with a vibrant show of support for the YoungMinds Hello Yellow campaign.

The ELSA team and Mental Health Ambassadors created a Tree of Hope, glowing in bright yellow and filled with heartfelt messages from our students. Each tag had words of hope, encouragement and solidarity, reminding us all that:

We all have mental health, supporting each other matters.

This powerful display stands as a symbol of our commitment to wellbeing, kindness, and community. Thank you to everyone who contributed a message, you have helped make our school a brighter, more compassionate place.
