UKMT over the term - March 2025

More students are qualifying to take part in the UKMT events each year and we had a fabulous 189 entries. Students have to be careful about whether to answer a question as answering one incorrectly loses marks, so they have to be confident with an answer to put it down. The students have achieved an amazing 16 Gold certificates, 49 Silver and 65 bronze with nine students qualifying for the next rounds. This is considerably above the national average of certificates that we could expect (130 achieved against an average of 94) . Certificates achieved in the maths challenges are looked on favourably by universities and employers and show problem solving skills outside of the maths curriculum.
