Well-Being Multi-Skills Event - February 2026

On Wednesday 11 February, we were delighted to deliver a wellbeing multi-skills event at St. Peter’s Junior School, Farnborough, as part of Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme, “This is My Place – Everyone Belongs,” provided the perfect foundation to showcase how physical activity can play a vital role in supporting positive mental health and emotional well-being.

A team of incredible student leaders from Years 8, 9 and 10—Emilia, Jorja, Isla K, Theis, Evan, Fergus, Olivia, Megan, Sophie, Phoebee, Bee, Emilie and Amelie helped to organise and run a wide range of activities for over 240 pupils. As part of the School Games programme, the event aimed to make being active fun, inclusive and confidence-boosting for every child.

St. Peter’s pupils rotated through a series of themed stations, each designed to support the idea of belonging while promoting physical and mental well-being. These included:

  • Stay on the Path
  • Belonging Baskets
  • Friendship River
  • Create Our Place Obstacle Course
  • Welcome Zone Dash
  • ‘This is My Pace’ Yoga & Mindfulness Session – delivered brilliantly by our Year 8 leaders Amelie and Emilie

Through these activities, pupils developed a range of physical skills - throwing, catching, running, hopping, dodging and more, while also exploring teamwork, resilience, self-belief and connection with others. The combination of movement and mindfulness helped pupils recognise how staying active can support both physical health and emotional balance.

The energy and enthusiasm shown by the children was fantastic, and our student leaders were exceptional role models throughout the day, creating a warm, supportive and joyful environment. One pupil summed it up perfectly, saying: “I love today!”

The event was a huge success, and it would not have been possible without the dedication, maturity and kindness shown by our young leaders.

Thank you to all involved.
