Year 10 Geography Field trip - July 2022

On Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th July our Year 10 Geographers ventured into Reading to complete their urban geographical investigation. This is the first of two investigations which will take them from an urban environment to the coast. The day sees our Year 10 students investigate the quality of life in different areas of Reading from the outer suburbs to the central business district. They carry out a range of data collection methods from field sketches to environmental quality surveys.

As well as carrying out our geographical investigation study we also got a chance to look at a brownfield regeneration project in the form of ‘One Station Hill’. This allowed students to connect their understanding from the classroom to real examples of urban regeneration and the impact it has on towns. A lovely day was had by all in the glorious sunshine.
