¡Experiencia de tapas!

This term linguists in Year 8 Spanish classes have been learning all about food and drink across the Spanish speaking world, including the origin of tapas, ordering a meal at a restaurant and, today, taste-testing some famous foods! We compared home-made to shop-bought Spanish omelette (tortilla española), devoured Manchego cheese from the La Mancha region of Spain, enjoyed spicy Mexican rice, jamón Serrano (cured for over a year!), chorizo, black olives, Spanish waffles (gofres) and even drank a piña colada (the fruit version; there were groans about this!). One thing is for sure, if you take your children to any Spanish-speaking country one day, they will definitely be able to do ALL the ordering for you.

¡Qué guay! Thanks to all who took part!

Gracias, Mr Robins
