GCSE Results - August 21

We are delighted to report some outstanding achievements by our students in their GCSEs and other qualifications this summer.

This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. Teaching colleagues at Calthorpe Park were relentless in ensuring students were awarded holistic grades commensurate with their assessments. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

We are extremely proud of the superb performance of all our students however, we would like to recognise Adrien Carrere, Daniel Flint, Sophie Hodson, Matilda Lawson, Ben Leahy and Olivia Tsang who have amassed 53 grade 9s and 7 grade 8s between them. An amazing achievement.

Mr John said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. We are rightly celebrating the resilience and dedication of individual students whose hard work means they are now able to move on successfully to the next stage of their education. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto Sixth Form College, apprenticeships or employment, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.

“What we are celebrating today at Calthorpe Park School, is that yet another cohort of our students are leaving here with the qualifications, skills, experiences and attributes that they will need for the next stage of their lives. The past 18 months have been particularly challenging and we are very proud of how our Year 11s have thrived and developed both as learners and as young people over this time. Each of them can be proud of their achievements and can look forward to the future having done so well during two years unlike any others schools have ever faced”.
