WHAT TO EXPECT
This trip provides an opportunity for students to enhance their understanding of the Edexcel GCSE specification of the Thematic Study Crime and Punishment in Britain c1000-present and the Historic Environment Whitechapel c1870-c1900. It is an excellent foundation for the GCSE exam and a fantastic opportunity to visit London.
Students will complete a walking tour of Whitechapel which includes:
- Liverpool Street/Bishopsgate
- Artillery Passage
- Brune Street – site of a former soup kitchen
- Toynbee Hall
- Christ Church Spitalfields
- Folgate Street/The Water Poet
- Peabody Model Dwellings
- Former Commercial Street Police Station
- Brick Lane to Hanbury Street
- Leaman Street
- Peasbody Estate
