Sri Lanka - October 2016

Just a quick overview of the Sri Lanka trip from some of the students:

I had the most amazing time, it was an experience I will never forget. My favourite part was going into the schools and teaching the children, they were so grateful and excited by even the most simple activities. This made the teaching very easy and enjoyable! – Charlotte H

Going to Sri Lanka was the most amazing experience and one that I feel has really grounded me, it has made me realize that what is important is not what we don’t have but what we do. My favourite part of the trip was just spending time with the kids in the schools, despite the fact that they have so little they are always smiling and making the best of everything they do. I also loved the jeep safari and seeing all sorts of animals that I would never get the chance to see back home. - Frankie W

Going on the Sri Lanka trip was the one of the best experiences of my life. It has made me appreciate what I have more as they have so little yet they are so happy. Whilst on this trip I made lots of new friends. My favourite part of the trip was teaching the children because no matter what you did whether it was a big or small they were so happy. Seeing what a difference we made to their lives by just being there was breath-taking. I would definately advise people to apply for this trip as It is a trip that you will not forget. I wish I could do the trip all over again, it has gone too quickly. - Sydni H
