STEM Lego Regional Heats - January 2023

Well done to this team of students who will be going to the Nationals later in the spring after this win!

Going down to Portsmouth University and competing to go through to the Nationals for the third year in a row was an amazing and fabulous experience! The competition was great fun and the judges really had a challenge when we pointed out a rule that they hadn’t seen, which could have cost us the game! However, after careful contemplation the judges eventually came to a decision and let us have another run. The judges for the innovation and technical presentations really enjoyed our presentations and had lots of fun using our prototype for the innovation project (Floresco!). The best part about going to Lego League is that we can make friends with the other teams and helping them, even though we’re supposed to be competitors. Nevertheless, winning and going through to the Nationals for a third year running was the absolute perfect end to the day. The celebrations to follow were also amazing fun. To conclude I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this happen and also a special thank you to Mr Lugg for driving the team there and back. Go Team Dynamite!!
