GCSE Results Day 2022

Here at Calthorpe Park School, we are extremely proud of the superb performance of each of our students especially as this is the first year of formal written GCSE exams in three years. We would also like to recognise Anya Johal, Ana Lucic, Michael Palmer, Seren Landskroon, Dexter Wilkes-Green, Max Le Jeune and Emme Levison who have, between them, amassed 62 grade 9s, 7 grade 8s and a grade 7. An amazing achievement, particularly against a national backdrop showing a reduction in the very highest grades being awarded.

Kevan John, the school’s headteacher said: “We are immensely proud of all the hard work and the achievements of our students, especially after such difficult and disrupted GCSE years. We are rightly celebrating the resilience and dedication of individual students whose hard work means they are now able to move successfully on to the next stage of their education. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto Sixth Form College, apprenticeships, or employment, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in their futures.

“What we are celebrating today at Calthorpe Park School is yet another talented cohort of our students who are leaving us with the qualifications, skills, experiences, and attributes that they will need for the next stage of their lives. The past few years have been particularly challenging, and we are very proud of how our Year 11s have thrived and developed both as learners and as young people over this time. Each of them can be proud of their achievements in the first formal GCSE exams since 2019 and can look forward to the future having done so well during such unprecedented times”.
