First Group: Monday - Wednesday

Second Group: Thursday - Saturday 
Usual Duration: 3 days/ 2 nights
Usual Departure Time: Early morning
Usual Return Time: 4pm pick up from QE Park
Term Time or Holiday: Term time
Usual Method(s) of Transport: Parents to drop off and collect from the Venue (QECP)
Accommodation: Camping Venue: QE Park, near Petersfield

 Final details will be provided upon confirmation that your child has been allocated a place. 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Essential camping kit will be provided by the supplier. However, all personal camping equipment (such as boots, rucksacks etc) will need to be provided by parents. A full list of kit requirements will be issued on confirmation of your child’s place.  A Parental Information Evening usually takes place in early February.

DAY 1 - Training Expedition 

  • Put up tents
  • Basic map skills 
  • Day walk moving onto remote supervision

  • Route planning for qualifier 
  • Aim for qualifier set 

DAY 2 - Qualifying expedition

  • Strike camp 
  • Agree check points 
  • Depart with a full kit 
  • Group complete planned route 
  • Set up camp 

DAY 3 - Qualifying expedition 

  • Strike camp 
  • Agree check points 
  • Depart with full kit 
  • Complete planned route
