SAMPLE ITINERARY

The Lego League trips enable students who have been actively involved in STEM to represent the school.  When a team is successful in the regional heat they are invited to compete at the national final.  If held locally, this event will be a day trip.  If the event is further afield, it may require coach travel and an overnight stay.  Where the Lego League becomes a residential, and if time allows, the Trip Leader may expand the trip to include visits to local places of interest.

Dates and venues are often communicated to the school at short notice with tight timescales for organisation and turnaround.  Details will be confirmed in participating students’ confirmation letter.  If circumstances allow, the following activities may be included:

  • National railway museum

  • Evening cinema or bowling

  • The Lego League National

  • Visit Betty’s Tea Rooms (Note: this is not included in the trip cost.  Students may wish to take spending money)

  • Evening cinema or bowling

  • Chocolate factory visit (Admission is included though students may wish to take some spending money for the gift shop)
