Year 10 trip to The Grange Festival – 22 June

Year 10 enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the opera when they visited the Grange Festival to see a rehearsal of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. The opera cast brought together internationally renowned singers and the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra in an exciting production, sung in the composer’s native Russian. Students were able to stay for the conductor’s notes and see how an opera evolves before being presented in the finished format to the audience.

The singing was very impressive. The set was really detailed with the chandeliers and I enjoyed the lighting. The dancing was also very good. Jasmine
