Y7/8 trip to Surrey Uni – June 26

Nine Year 7 and 8 Service Students attended this year’s Creative Armed Forces Day at the University of Surrey on one of the hottest days of the year! Students took part in a campus treasure hunt, with one Calthorpe team winning the challenge. They also enjoyed a talk about university life before creating and presenting their own society ideas, including Cooking, Animals, Sharks vs Fish, and Cinematography.

After lunch, two university students from service families shared their experiences, giving our students the opportunity to discuss their own experiences. Throughout the day, they represented Calthorpe brilliantly and were a credit to the school.
