Spring Term 2026 – January/February
Dear Parents and Carers
In this short time since returning from the Christmas break, this term has been filled with a wide range of exciting activities and memorable events.
Our students have taken part in several enriching educational opportunities, including visits to Winchester Cathedral and the inspiring production of Hercules: The Musical. Planning and preparation are well underway for our Year 10 Business Day, an enrichment event taking place after half term, where students will hear from a guest speaker and take part in workshops and interview activities designed to develop their employability skills.
One of the many highlights of the term was our school pantomime. Students truly amazed us with their creativity, confidence, and performance skills, creating moments of laughter for everyone who attended.
This half term saw the relaunch of our PTA and the launch of our Inside the Classroom event. The PTA Quiz and Curry Night was an enjoyable evening, and I would like to thank all those who attended. I look forward to hearing more of their ideas for future fundraising initiatives. We were delighted to welcome parents/carers from across all year groups to our Inside the Classroom event. This provided a wonderful opportunity for parents/carers to gain a snapshot of their child’s academic journey at CPS and to see learning in action.
As we reach the end of the half term, I would like to wish you all a restful and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Monday, 23rd February.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Kevan John, Headteacher
