Weekly Update –  9 May 2025

We would like to congratulate Year 11 on completion of their first week of GCSE Examinations. Today, a large Business Studies cohort will complete their examination, with English Literature taking place on Monday morning. Could we also take this opportunity to ask you to speak with your children about their movement around the school during the examination season. Specific areas around the Halls are not accessible during this period to prevent any disturbances to the examinations but we do also use a range of other rooms around the school site. Please could you speak to your child about noise levels around the site and to move quietly when they see the red examination signs. We appreciate every member of the school community for their support over this period.

It’s the final couple of days for Year 11 parents to order Leavers’ Hoodies here.  The deadline is Sunday evening.

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Year 9 student Isla K, who, alongside her team Eclipse Allstars Discovery, was crowned a Summit Champion at the prestigious World Summit competition held in the USA last week.  Regarded as one of the most competitive events in international cheerleading, The Summit brings together top-level teams from across the globe to compete at the highest standard. Isla played a key role in leading her team to an extraordinary 1st place finish in the Level 2 U18 category.  See full details about Isla’s acheivement here.

The PE department are holding a Sports Award evening next month and would welcome sponsorship donations towards this event.  Any amount would be welcome, with money providing awards and provisions for the evening.  Please contact Mr Barclay if you or your company are able to help.
