Weekly Update โ 5 June
Our legal eagle Year 9 students are off to rock the courtroom again on Saturday 6thย June. Our team will be participating in the Magistrates Competition Final at Croydon Crown Court. A new case to argue was released for the final, so they have been working hard on speeches, questions and learning statements. We know they will be brilliant and we are looking forward to witnessing their court battles! Good luck to: Ayla, Amelia, Layla, Noelani, Jacob, Tamsin, Kyle, Bella, Eryn, Kathryn, Sophie and Maisie.ย

Our annual Sports Awards Evening is on Friday 19th June for Years 9-11. Invites will be coming out soon so please look out for notifications via Edulink with the details. Confirmation of attendance is required.

National Thank a Teacher Day is on Wednesday 17th June. So far, we have received over 120 nominations but we would love to receive more. Last year, we received 397 nominations for colleagues at the school and our aim is to double that. Now is the perfect time to show some appreciation to the incredible school staff who inspire and educate in our school. Why not take a moment to celebrate the hardworking, passionate members of our whole school community who play a crucial role in making our school thrive.

Weekly Spotlight: Have you explored the About Us section of our new website yet? This area brings together key information about the school, including a welcome from our Headteacher, an introduction to The Calthorpe Wayโthe values and ethos that underpin everything we doโand a history of the school. Parents can take advantage of our interactive school tour, access the Term Dates page (which includes parent consultation evenings and our school calendar), and find a staff directory. The section also features an overview of our Senior Student Team. As our current senior students prepare to leave us, now is a great time to visit the page and learn more about them before they move on. Introductions to our new Senior Student team will be added soon.
