Medical: We are writing to remind you of an important school procedure regarding medication and pain relief brought into school by students.
For safeguarding and medical safety reasons, students must not carry any form of medication or pain relief on their person while on the school site. The only exceptions to this rule are prescribed emergency medications such as EpiPens and asthma inhalers, which students should continue to carry with them as medically advised.
This policy is in place to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion, allergic reactions, medication sharing, or inappropriate dosing. In some cases, the presence of medication on a student without staff knowledge could result in delayed or more severe medical intervention should an adverse reaction occur.
If your child requires medication during the school day (including pain relief), this should be brought to medical at the start of the school day along with a completed medication administration form. These medicines will be securely stored in a locked cabinet and administered to students only when required and in line with the agreed instructions.
We ask for your cooperation in supporting this process, which helps us to keep all students safe and ensures that medication is administered responsibly and appropriately.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss your childโs medical needs further, please contact the School Health and Welfare team by email.
Thank you for your continued support.

As Wednesday 17th June is National Thank a Teacher Day, we want to use this as an opportunity to celebrate the amazing staff at Calthorpe Park School who work with your child every day. Now is the perfect time to show some appreciation to the incredible school staff who inspire and educate in our school. Why not take a moment to celebrate the hardworking, passionate members of our whole school community who play a crucial role in making our school thrive. Last year, we received 397 nominations for colleagues at the school, and this year we would love to double that number. Add your thanks here!

We’re holding a coffee morning for Year 7 parents on Friday 26 June. The Mental Health support team will be coming in to give a presentation on talking to your teen and resilience. There will be a selection of support staff on hand for any general school queries. A link for booking spaces will be available after the half term break.
The PE Department would be grateful for sponsorship of their Sports Award Evening next month! This is a special evening where our students are recognised for various competitions, talent and resilience in their sport. Sponsorship would support with food and trophy-engraving. Please contact Mr Barclay if you are able to offer help – thank you!
We are listening to your feedback – have you noticed the trailing cursor on the website has now gone?! Our feedback form is still open if you have further comments about the new website.
Wishing you all a sunny half term break – school reopens on Monday 1 June
