Weekly Update โ 15 May
We are really proud of our GCSE students who have completed a busy week of exams. Our invigilators have praised their attitudes in and around the examinations. A reminder that the Bespoke GCSE Programme starts on Wednesday 20ย May. Please refer to emails and this letter for more information.
Year 7 Assessments – Clarification: Hall-based assessments will take place for all of Year 7 in the week commencing 15 June. Classroom-based assessments will begin from 1 June. Timetables will be published imminently and information relating to hall-based exams will be available via the ‘Exams’ button on EdulinkOne.
Attendance: Do you know what your child’s attendance is? Did you know you can check your child’s attendance to lessons on Edulink as well as seeing their overall attendance? We aim for 96% attendance from all students – please support us by ensuring your child is attending.
Thank you to all parents reporting absences promptly each day but we are seeing an increase in later notifications.
Please remember to report all absences on Edulink by 8.30am each day.
Parenting for Teenagers Courses: We are running two six-week courses, one starting on 2 June and the next one starting on 15 September. They are designed as a proactive way of helping you build good relationships with your teenage children, increasing skills in communication, understanding different parenting styles and to help improve setting and maintaining boundaries. They will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm.

WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT:ย Have you explored the Enrichment area on our new website yet? This brings together the many opportunities that help make life at Calthorpe Park School so vibrant beyond the classroom. Parents can easily find information about clubs, trips, concerts and external music lessons, the Library, extracurricular sports, and our exciting school productions and student-led panto. The new section celebrates the wide range of experiences available to students and will be regularly updated throughout the year. We encourage families to explore the page and discover all that is on offer.
