Weekly Update – 14 November 2025
There are two INSET Days this month when school will be closed for students – Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November. See our Term Dates page for all key dates.
We will be welcoming back the Scholastic Book Fair from Monday 24th November. It will be with us for almost two weeks to ensure that there are still plenty of browsing and buying opportunities despite the two INSET days.
The Fair will be open to students to come along and have a look/shop during break and lunchtimes, and both Years 7 and 8 will be visiting during English lessons. This could be the perfect opportunity for some early Christmas shopping, alongside encouraging reading for pleasure! Last year, our Calthorpe students and parents were fantastic at supporting the Fair, and we hope it will be as popular this year.

ELSA recommend a webinar taking place on Thursday 20 November at 6pm, aimed to help parents manage smartphone safety for their children and information about cyberbullying. Use this link to register for a place.
The Food Drive for Hart Food Bank continues this week and you can see the totals per house here. The deadline for donations is Wednesday 26 November – thank you for your support!

Reminder to parents about the Berlin information evening which is taking place on Wednesday 26 November in the main hall.
