Weekly Update โ€“ 12 June

Year 11 are now in their final countdown to the end of the GCSE Examinations. There are only three examinations remaining until they can enjoy a well-deserved rest before celebrating with their Leavers’ Assembly and Prom. We wish them the best of luck for next week.

We have fostered Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) in lessons through bespoke sessions for teaching staff. Our mission is to develop teacher expertise to ensure that we deliver a high quality of education for all, based on core principles of inclusion, with high challenge, high aspiration and high support at the heart of our school culture and ethos. We have identified our top 10 OAP strategies which are embedded across the curriculum.

Sports Day is on Wednesday 1 July – see this page for details.

With just under a week to go until National Thank a Teacher Day, please take a few moments to complete the form. The aim is to recognise the teachers and also the support staff who play a crucial role in making our school thrive.

We are hosting another Parent Coffee Morning on 26 June. A letter has been sent to Year 7 parents – please see the link in the letter to book a space!

Our school production of We Will Rock You takes place over five nights next month – 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 July. The cast and band members have been rehearsing for the last couple of months, with a busy three weeks left before opening night. Tickets are now on sale at this link.

Weโ€™re holding a Careers Fair here on 22 September and looking for companies/local businesses who can talk to our students about career options, pathways and required qualifications. If you work for a company who could offer advice about post-16 options and would like to book a table, please complete this form.
