Transition Day โ 2 July
This week we were delighted to welcome our new Year 7 students to Calthorpe Park School for Transition Day. The day began with a warm welcome from Mr Walker and a fantastic performance from our Samba Band, creating an exciting and memorable start to the next chapter of our students’ educational journey.
Students joined us from many different primary schools across the area and quickly became part of the Calthorpe community. Throughout the day they met their tutors, experienced a variety of lessons, learned about our PRIDE values and took part in team-building activities designed to help them develop new friendships and confidence within their working groups.
A particular highlight was the outstanding support provided by our prefects. They were excellent ambassadors for the school, helping students find their way around, answering questions and providing reassurance throughout the day. Their enthusiasm, kindness and leadership played a huge role in ensuring the day ran smoothly and that our new students felt welcome from the moment they arrived.
By the end of the day, students who had arrived as members of many different primary schools left as members of Team Calthorpe. We were incredibly impressed by their enthusiasm, resilience and willingness to get involved, and we look forward to welcoming them back in September.
