Summer Term 2026 โ April/May
Dear Parent and Carers,
As we reach the end of another busy and successful half term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly positive six weeks for our school community.
Firstly, I would like to commend our Year 11 students for the mature and determined approach they have shown towards the start of their GCSE examinations. They have been a credit to themselves and to the school, demonstrating resilience, focus and responsibility in what can be a demanding period. We are immensely proud of the way they have conducted themselves, both in and out of the examination hall. We look forward to welcoming them back after half term for their final examinations, and to celebrating their time with us at their Leaversโ assembly and Prom, two very special milestones that mark the end of their journey here.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our current Year 11 Prefect Team. Their dedication and commitment to supporting the wider school community has been exceptional. Whether assisting at events, supporting our younger students, or acting as positive role models around the school, they have made a long lasting contribution. We are extremely grateful for everything they have done.
As you read this edition of the newsletter, youโll notice a range of highlights showcasing the trips, visits, and enrichment opportunities our students have enjoyed in recent weeks. It has certainly been a fantastic half term, rich in opportunities for personal growth, achievement, and memorable experiences beyond the classroom.
Finally, I would like to wish our students, families, and staff a restful and enjoyable half term break. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Mr Kevan John, Headteacher
