Rising Mathematician Festival – 9 June

Ten Year 7 students took part in Axiom Maths’ Rising Mathematician Festival at the University of Southampton on 9 June 2026.

They enjoyed a campus tour, tackled a series of mathematical puzzles, and attended a fascinating lecture on gravity and black holes delivered by Prof. David Turton. They then joined a large maths circle with students from other schools, collaborating on rich problem‑solving tasks.

Overall, it was an insightful and exciting experience for our new secondary learners. Watching them work together and build friendships with students from other schools was truly heartwarming.
