Recognising Success at Calthorpe Park School

Calthorpe Park School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students with 27% of all grades awarded being at the highest levels, namely Grades 8 and 9. Our Year 11 outcomes reflect not only academic excellence but also resilience, determination and commitment. Our students have truly shone, with many facing real adversity, demonstrating that obstacles are not insurmountable. 

We are delighted to highlight the phenomenal success of Andrew N, George M-W-P, Lawrie W, Maia H, Charlotte S, Anastasia E and Anucha M who achieved 11, 9, 8, 8, 7, 7 and 7 Grade 9s respectively. 

Equally as impressive are the achievements of Michael M, Maja H, Abigail W, Gemma P, Max Y, Harry W, Betty K, Sarah P, James A, Sateja B, Eva R, Anna D and Denis S who amassed a whopping 46 Grade 9s, 59 Grade 8s, 26 Grade 7s and 2 Grade 6s between them. 

We also celebrate the exceptional progress made by students who exceeded expectations, achieving on average two grades above statistical forecasts. Congratulations to Max Y, Alex M, Kevin T, Iris H-J, Ethan A, Mary W, Emilia W and William A. Their growth and commitment are truly inspiring. 34% of the cohort also achieved better than expected progress which is a testament to their conscientious approach and making the most of opportunities offered to them. 

23 students should be applauded for also securing Additional Maths which is a level 3 qualification and represents a significant level of challenge. 

Our English as an Additional Language students merit a further commendation as those students have overcome significant language barriers to achieve super GCSE results. Similarly, a number of students have encountered extremely challenging personal circumstances and yet have gone on to secure amazing outcomes. The tenacity of these students is truly admirable.

“We are absolutely delighted with the achievements of our students. Despite challenges and interruptions to their early secondary schooling, they have shown remarkable resilience and drive. These results reflect our Year 11s’ academic successes as well as their personal growth and readiness for the future. Our dedicated teachers and support colleagues, have worked tirelessly to support all our students, and we are confident that they are well prepared for the exciting opportunities ahead, whether that be Sixth Form, apprenticeships, or the world of work.”
