Weekly Update – 13 March 2026

World Sleep Day: Our Mental Health Ambassadors have been highlighting just how important good sleep is for both our physical and mental wellbeing. All students are currently completing a survey about their sleep habits, and the Ambassadors are excited to share the results once they are in. Here’s to better rest and healthier minds!

Term Dates: This term finishes for the Easter holidays on Friday 27 March at 3pm, with school reopening on Monday 13 April for the Summer term.  See our Term Dates page for details across the school year.

Spring Review on 25 March: Tickets for this music concert are now available here.

Easter Egg Appeal:  Eggs can be brought into Reception or students can take to their form rooms.  The deadline is Tuesday 24 March when eggs will be donated to the Hart Food Bank.

Donations will be measured by total weight to ensure fairness, with the House who donates the largest mass of eggs winning the competition.  For comparison, 326 eggs were donated last year weighing 42kg – can these amounts be beaten this year?  Thanks for your support with this appeal!

NOW CANCELLED – Film Club:  We will be screening the film adaptation of the novel Divergent. If your child enjoys dystopian fiction/films such as the Hunger Games trilogy, then this is one for them!

Date: 19 March
Location: Library
Timings: 3.15pm until 5.30pm (film running time 2 hours 13 mins)

Some film viewing snacks will be provided. To confirm your child would like to attend, please email Mrs Wiltshire

Gremlin Dance Challenge: Our Year 8 students; Amelie O’M, Libby B, Darcey N, Leah S, Flo D, Emilie R, Lana B, Rose W, Annabel R, Phoebe J, Juliet C and Niamh L proudly represented Calthorpe Park School at the Gremlin Dance Challenge held at Princes Hall on Thursday 12th March. They competed against ten other secondary schools, with this year’s theme being ‘Icons’.  See this link for full details.

PE Sponsorship: We are looking for £400 sponsorship for our Sports Awards evening in June, to cover new awards, engraving and decorations.  We can offer a page in the programme if necessary/required. Please contact Mr Barclay in PE if you can help or have questions.

See our Community Notices page for information on days out for service families, a Family counselling service and HCC work on local footpaths over the next few months.
