WHAT TO EXPECT
Students will explore the past, present and future of design and will have a great opportunity to attend hands-on, creative workshops. All of which will help in their design development and product analysis skills. This trip will also include 30 min walk and lunch at Holland Park, weather permitting.
Students (applicants) will be divided into three groups based on their existing working groups, with each group attending on a different date. Each group will participate in a workshop at the Design Museum and explore the Museum of Brands, including visits to the Brand Hall and the Time Tunnel.
Group 1
Workshop: Sustainable Design School Programme
Inspired by the exhibition “Waste Age: What can design do?” and its accompanying handling collection, this workshop will teach students how to become well-informed consumers and responsible future designers.
Group 2
Workshop: Hands-on Design โ Chairs and Seating
Explore why the chair is considered the ultimate design challenge and how user experience determines whether a chair becomes a classic or a relic.
Group 3
Workshop: Sustainable Design School Programme
Same as Group 1, focusing on sustainability and responsible design inspired by the “Waste Age” exhibition.
IMPORTANT: If one of the trip dates is oversubscribed, we reserve the right to reassign students to another date to ensure all spaces are filledโunless a preference is clearly indicated on the application form.
