WHAT TO EXPECT
This trip offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with organisations such as NDCS (National Deaf Children’s Society) and the PLOD (Police Link Officer for Deaf People), who will deliver an informative and interactive talk. Students will also have a chance to explore a real police vehicle, making the experience both memorable and hands-on.
In addition, pupils from resource provisions across Hampshire will be attending, creating a valuable opportunity for our students to meet and connect with other deaf young people. This shared experience can help build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging within the deaf community.
The visit will also introduce students to the role of a deaf instructor and provide information about charities and support networks available to themโhelping them to better understand the opportunities and support open to them now and in the future.
Overall, this promises to be a highly enriching experience that supports both personal and social development.
