The Show & The Panto
The whole school production is held in July each year, with a large cast of students performing, along with a band and backstage crew comprising both students and staff. The show is announced with great anticipation and excitement in the Spring term, followed by auditions and 15 weeks of rehearsals. In July, performances take place over five evenings to an audience of approximately 300 each time.
In addition to this, each year a group of students work together to produce the student-led Panto in February. It is entirely produced by them, from writing, choreography, lighting, performing and directing, with four performances over two nights.
Alongside these two events we also run a Drama Club in the Autumn term. These three enrichment opportunities allow for students of all year groups to work collaboratively, to support each other, to be disciplined with their time and commitment, to perform on stage in front of large audiences and to demonstrate some extraordinary talent.
