Collaborative working with our partners in Sri Lanka

Students in Year 8 leant about music in India as part of their learning on world music, and created the most beautiful posters of Indian instruments, which we have sent to Urani Vidyalayam, one of our partner secondary schools in Batticaloa, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. The music teacher has sent us some of the drawings her own students have completed on the same topic as our Year 8 Students. 

Students on the Sri Lanka Experience 2026 will be visiting Urani Vidyalayam in October and delivering activities to the students at this school. During the past school year, they have planned and prepared their activities and are excited to work with the Sri Lanka students. Last year our fundraising provided a PA system for the school. This year we will be helping to renovate the music room and provide band uniforms.
