Hampshire Book Award - October 2019

14 excited students (& 2 excited members of staff!) travelled to Winchester on Tuesday 15^th October to meet Paula Rawsthorne, author of Shell, the winning book for this year’s Hampshire Book Award.    Students listened to an entertaining talk from the author and were able to buy signed copies of her books during the event.  Shell was selected as the winner from a shortlist of 6 books by Year 8 students from 38 schools across Hampshire.  It is a gripping thriller,  where Lucy, a teen with terminal cancer, wakes up to discover that she has been transplanted into someone else’s body!  How far would you go to save the one you love?
